"Letters to Zachary" is a compassionate community dedicated to supporting those navigating the complex journey of grief. Inspired by Jason Tuttle, a father who bravely faced the loss of his special needs son Zachary by writing letters to him. Our mission is to shine a light on grief, especially the often unspoken grief of fathers.
Earlier this year, we invited everyone from the Grief Community to get involved with "Letters to Zachary" in a meaningful way and contribute to a collective journey of healing and remembrance. We invited everyone to participate in the "Letters to Zachary" coloring book. This unique initiative allowed for anyone to submit a suggestion for a memorial coloring book page, honoring loved ones who have passed. These pages have been compiled into a beautiful coloring book, available for purchase on Amazon on August 16th, 2024. Proceeds from the book will help support our community and serve as a lasting tribute to those we have lost. Thank you to everyone who contributed in creating a heartfelt memorial that brings comfort and connection to grieving hearts everywhere.
Our 'Letters to Zachary' Grief Community Coloring book is made up of submissions from our community and serves as a lasting tribute to those we have lost. Each page is carefully crafted, with the information provided, to create a heartfelt memorial. Each coloring page has an attribution on the back of the coloring page, to share in the memory of those who were lost. We invite you to not only color this book, but share in the stories and memories too.
Available August 16th, 2024.

Hi! I'm Jason. I am married father of two kids with multiple cognitive and physical disabilities. I have been married for 21 years. I am a former Stay-at-Home parent of 12 years. I have a degree in education where I work with kids in elementary school. I love helping others.
My grief blog, Letters to Zachary, shares my raw, unfiltered view of grief from a man/father’s perspective. I created it to help other men open up about their emotions associated with grief through the use of my unique view and style of writing commentary consisting of letters, poetry, videos, and memes. It is also designed to help women understand the male process of dealing with grief. It is also a place where men can converse with other men who understand their pain.
Vision: To create a safe, judgment-free environment to encourage men to feel vulnerable about their emotions without being judged or ridiculed while promoting a positive mental health image. To help women/spouses understand how their significant others express themselves and cope with emotion during the grief journey.
Our online community plays a vital role in providing support and fostering connections. In today's digital age, having a virtual space to share experiences, access resources, and connect with others who are on similar journeys is invaluable. Our forums, virtual support groups, and interactive events ensure that no one has to grieve alone, no matter where they are in the world. Please, get in touch.
At "Letters to Zachary," we believe in the healing power of sharing stories and building connections. Our community provides a platform for everyone, especially fathers, to openly express their emotions and experiences, breaking the societal stigma around grief. Through heartfelt letters, support groups, and valuable resources, we empower those in mourning to find strength and purpose after loss.
Join us as we honor Zachary's memory and support one another on this transformative journey. Together, we can navigate the challenges of grief, find resilience, and rediscover the beauty of life.
Zachary was an old, gentle soul from the day he was born. He loved to laugh, meet new people, and never let anything bother him. He was the type of child that would light up a room either through his personality or through his ladies man quality. Zachary never met a stranger.
